Are you travelling from out of town and needing a place to stay? Here are two options:
1. Visit the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau for information about area hotels and motels.
2. Crash with an old friend who lives locally. You can post here if you are looking for that old friend. If you ARE that old friend, and are willing to let a classmate stay at your place, you can post here, too. (There is a certain New Year’s Eve party that comes to mind for some reason – wink, wink.)

Recommendations for hotels:
If you don’t mind paying more (okay, a lot more), try the Inn at Montchannin (info below). It’s rated as one of the top 100 b&b’s in the USA and has a fabulous restaurant.
The Days Inn at the corner of Concord Pike (Route 202) and Silverside Road is fairly priced and in a good location (see link below).
The Best Western, which is at the corner of Concord Pike (Route 202) and Murphy Road, is very close to downtown, without being downtown. I stayed there once recently and although it’s not fancy, it’s clean and very reasonably priced. Info about the Best Western is listed below.
There are several other hotels on Concord Pike (Route 202), right next to and across from Concord Mall, including a DoubleTree. Although these are about 6 miles from downtown, they are in the heart of bulldog country.
There are several nice (and likely more expensive) places in downtown Wilmington, but I am not as familiar with them.
